NOCPlan will help Windstream dramatically improve utilization of its network assets.

Velankani Communications Technologies Inc. (Velankani), a preferred reseller of Network Design Decisions, Inc. (NDDI), announced today that Windstream has selected NDDI’s NOCPlan FTTx planning software as a key part of their Access Network Optimization Program. Windstream’s access network transformation initiative is driving the modernization of networks and facilitating the deployment of new technologies and increased bandwidth for network coverage. Velankani’s professional services & NDDI’s platform will help Windstream dramatically improve utilization of its network assets which includes leveraging existing copper assets as well as planning new fiber construction.

“The tremendous growth in bandwidth utilization continues to drive expanding demand in operators’ networks,” said Raj Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Velankani Communications and Network Design Decisions, Inc. “In this case, it is driving the need for network optimization software to leverage existing access network assets to the fullest. With NOCPlan, Windstream is able to prioritize capital spending to get the highest return on investment, and accomplish this in a fraction of the time previously required using the legacy manual planning methodology.”

To improve their Customer Quality of Experience, operators need a clear, vendor-agnostic planning solution that correlates their network with marketing data from billing and customer care systems, all in one place. NOCPlan’s output allows Windstream to implement this capability.
